Celebrating first birthdays with a family session
On a warm Summers day in mid-January 2016, Jason and Jacqui welcomed their blue-eyed little boy, Ethan, into the world and brought him home to their quiet suburban home in Fisher. Over the span of a year, they discovered that their home was not quite big enough for the three of them and so when I arrived on their doorstep, camera in hand to take their family portraits, they gave me the exciting news that they had won a bid for a home at an auction the previous day.
Understanding the importance of capturing them in the home that Ethan had spent his first year of life in, I had them take me for a tour of their gardens and home, capturing them as they are, a family of three with their puppy, Stella.
It was early morning, seven-thirty and the sun was already starting to climb high in the sky. The warmth was already beginning to creep into the day, despite the slight overcast. We showed Ethan the cool, silky vine leaves and he explored the world, much to the delight of his doting mother and father whose eyes shine with love and light for this precious life.
