A lot of people aren’t comfortable in front of a camera. But that’s okay! And let me tell you why.
It is not your job to be “photogenic”. Being photogenic means that you are naturally comfortable in front of the camera. But if you’re not, then it is my job to make you feel that way. We keep sessions relaxed and fun and sometimes I don’t even worry about getting my families to look at the camera if it means that they will feel more comfortable. Instead, I will focus on capturing the giggles and smiles that come from interacting with one another.
Somewhere between feeling the tickling grass between your toes, tossing your youngest into the air to squeals of laughter, and watching your older children tackle their father to the ground to cover him in smooches… You will stop and feel thankful for this family you made.
And because you have me, weâll be able to get photographs we could never get if I just asked you to stand somewhere, look at me and say “cheese”.
Your children will be the captain of a pirate ship. Or turn into a woodland fairy. They’ll be silly, crazy and joyful. They may also be sad and need comfort which is all a part of life and I will capture these soft, quiet moments of connection between child and parent too.
When you book a portrait session with me, you are investing not just in photographs but you are freezing time. You will keep that image of your child, frozen against a backdrop of clouds as you toss them into the air. Their crinkled eyes and wide mouth, laughing as they fall back into your arms, only to be thrown up into the air again. These images that you invest in, photographs of your family and children will not only show who you are but who you are to each other and what you mean to them.
Your photographs will radiate with love. And in ten to twenty years time when you pause as you wander past them on your walls, or when your children inherit them. You will remember the moment the image was taken. It will bring you back to that day, and that surge of love will make you smile.
Clients typically invest north of $1000 depending on which fine art products they are interested in. This typically gets them a large, happy portrait to hang above the mantlepiece or something for the coffee table such as a storybook album or an art box with matted prints. Digital files are included depending on your artwork purchase.
You will also have the option to purchase prints to gift to grandparents, aunties, and uncles or keep for yourself!
And for your peace of mind, you are also gifted digital files when you invest in your finished artwork.
